Polished Black Goniatite Ammonite Fossil – Whole Spiral Fossil

Bold, dark, and beautifully ancient. These polished black goniatite fossils are whole spiral-shelled fossils set in glossy black stone, with the creamy white calcite spiral of the shell standing out in striking contrast. Each one fits perfectly in the palm and makes a great pocket fossil, altar piece, or collection starter.

Intuitively chosen — you'll receive one goniatite fossil selected just for you. Each fossil is natural, so size, shape, and spiral pattern will vary from the photos.

About Goniatites: Goniatites are early relatives of the ammonites — spiral-shelled sea creatures related to today's nautilus, squid, and octopus. They swam the oceans during the Devonian period, roughly 400 million years ago, making them even older than most ammonites. Polished goniatites like these are famously found in dark limestone from Morocco, where the shell's chambers filled with white calcite.
